Everyone is welcome to attend any of our events, including monthly meetings and working bees. Working bees are held in the garden the first Saturday of the month – no experience necessary, but please check in before your first visit – firstname.lastname@example.org
Becoming a financial member is one way to support the group. Balaangala does not receive any funding and so relies on membership fees, donations and fundraising for all its costs, including paying First Nations speakers, Welcome and Acknowledgment to Country etc.
Benefits of membership:
- financial members receive notice and minutes from the monthly meetings so you get regular information about all the group’s activities
- when there are limits on numbers who can attend events, financial members are given first notice.
- your membership fee helps Balaangala engage First Nations people for our important events – Sorry Day, Invasion/survival day, Restoration Day etc.
To become a member contact us and ask for a membership form to be emailed to you. Please note no fee applies to First Nations people who want to become members, however, please complete a membership form for our records.
