Workshop 1: Exploring self – what, why and how to embed perspectives?
This workshop is an opportunity to explore our own knowledge, perspectives and histories with regard to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, peoples and cultures, consider why it is important and how we can put it into practice.
Workshop 2: Seeing our place – taking it on
The focus of this workshop is to reflect on our place as educators in the classroom and what we can take responsibility for including in our classroom practice. Practical examples will be included for teachers to take back to their classrooms.
Workshop 3: Getting to know others – what can YOU do?
Building real and meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in your local area and school is the key to embedding Indigenous perspectives. This is an opportunity to share successful projects and practices from a range of contexts, and consider possible links for your own local school communities.
$50 / workshop
$130 for all three workshops
Workshops include afternoon tea and a resource pack
